Basketball star Kemba Walker sells Massachusetts mansion

New York Knicks point guard Kemba Walker has sold his Brookline, MA home the New York Post reports. The sale comes five months after the professional athlete, who previously played for the Boston Celtics, joined the Knicks, apparently leaving the New York native with no connection to Pilgrim State.

Walker bought the nearly 10,000 square foot home just two years ago for $ 11.25 million. As the deal was off-market, it’s unclear at what price the property was sold, but it would have grossed more than he paid for in 2019. Even from afar, the custom-made iron entry to double height makes all the impression, as does the paved circular driveway in front of the house. Even though it was built in 2019, the property has a stately quality of yesteryear, with accents like wainscoting, crown molding, and coffered windows in many rooms. Upon entering the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home, a majestic double bridal staircase is visible and opens onto the living and dining room. Elsewhere in the accommodation, a wood-paneled library and an au pair suite can be found, as well as a state-of-the-art kitchen.

The structure sits on 1.46 acres of land, and while little information is available on the property, it appears the exterior doesn’t have a pool, hot tub, or outdoor kitchen. The grounds are very private and the thoughtful landscaping brings the befitting ambience of the indoors to the outdoors.
