Donald Lanigan, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at OSU Ross Heart Hospital with his beloved wife, Gloria, and two sons, Donald E. and Douglas W. Lanigan and daughter-in-law, Molly by his side.
Donald was born on September 21, 1954, in Somerset, Kentucky, to Paul and Evylee (Adams) Lanigan.
Employed by Liebert Corporation for 35 years, Donald enjoyed working with everyone and never missed a day of work.
Donald had a very eventful childhood playing with all his siblings.
Donald was predeceased by his father, Paul; Arthur and Betty; and his granddaughter, Railey.
In addition to his wife and children, Don left behind his most precious young mother of 95 years; 12 siblings: Danny, Shirley, Louise, Linville, Lynette, Janie, Kim, Carolyn, Teona, David, Rodney and Shaun; grandchildren, McKenzie, Bailey, Hunter, Griffen and Evylee; 1 great-grandson, Brock; a close friend in Kentucky, David Garrison; and great-friend and Angel, Jeff in Ohio.
Donald’s only last wish was to see all of his grandchildren and his great-grandson. This has become a reality thanks to the staff at OSU. His grandchildren will remember him as a soft-spoken sage, passionate about the tractors on which he took turns driving them around the yard.
Donald’s journey may be over but he will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. We will always love and miss you, PAPAW.
At Donald’s request, there will be no service. Her family requests that instead of flowers or donations, only cards be sent to: PO Box 479, Centerburg, OH 43011.
The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lanigan family. Please share a memory or condolence with them on this site.
