Interior Gas Utility General Manager to Retire Once Contract Renewal Expires | Local News

The chief executive of the state-owned Interior Gas Utility, Dan Britton, has announced his intention to step down in a year.

“I came to Fairbanks on a three-year contract in 2000, and I never left,” read the statement prepared by Britton. “I have made Fairbanks my home and have worked to advance the natural gas industry in the area for over 20 years. I am as proud of our accomplishments over the years as I am of the team we have at IGU. The public service has a strong Board of Directors and dedicated staff, and I am confident that UGI will continue to advance our mission for the benefit of our community.
