About the firm and the role:
Our projects range from high-end residential renovations to retail interiors. As a Senior Chartered Architect, the Founder is looking for a part-time designer (3-4 days a week) and a self-starter to help us with our daily workflow which touches on all facets of the design.
The company is made up of a small team of talented designers (mostly women) who strive for high quality work as well as professional, human and friendly relationships with each other and with our clients. You will be a valued member of our team, working alongside amazing members who work remotely and collaboratively. Our shared vision is one that puts the environment first and creates spaces of unique beauty that uplift and delight.
You must have a keen interest and sharp skills in graphic and presentation design for the built environment, with an emphasis on interiors. You must also have a passion for sustainable, minimalist design – calm, serene and refined spaces.
The Senior Chartered Architect invites those wishing to become licensed and may serve as a mentor as per NCARB guidelines.
This role is flexible and will average 15-25 hours per week, depending on skills and availability. Although this is a part-time contract position, it could become a permanent position for the right person.
Tasks will include:
- Assembly of client presentations
- Supply materials
- 3D graphics
- Drafting and architectural design
- Group design sessions
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, interior architecture or architecture required
- 2+ years of experience in the interior design industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe InDesign is required
- Proficiency in any 3D modeling and rendering software is preferred
Remuneration is hourly and based on skills/experience. Our office is located in Fairfield County/Metro NYC and local candidates will be strongly considered to participate in regular in-person and on-site meetings, but the majority of work can be done remotely and via zoom.
