Miley Cyrus buys a Mediterranean-style mansion in Malibu for $7.9 million

Miley Cyrus just bought a vast new blank canvas on which to express her funky maximalist interior design style. The musician and actor paid $7.9 million for a six-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom malibu mansion, according to Dirt. The 6,568-square-foot Mediterranean-style structure was built in 1999 but was recently updated and features crisp, modern white interiors and a warm-toned mix of hardwood and stone floors. Set on just under an acre-and-a-half scenic lot at the end of a long driveway, the Nashville-born singer’s new home offers sweeping ocean, whitewater, canyon and mountain views .

From the double-height entrance hall, massive arched wall openings create an open-plan entertaining space comprised of a formal dining room that comfortably seats a dozen guests, a living room with fireplace, and a breakfast room. billiards. All three access the property’s landscaped grounds through floor-to-ceiling glass doors. The layout was likely a selling point for Cyrus, who had a similar floor plan in the eclectic Hidden Hills home she sold last year. “I like the openness of space”, the wrecking ball the singer said AD during a visit to this house. “I love that when friends are cooking in the kitchen, when we are watching TV or movies and someone is at the bar, when someone is going to play the piano, we can all be together even if we are not all seated directly in the same space.”

Other highlights of the star’s new digs include a heated pool with an adjoining spa, numerous patios with plenty of space for lounging and al fresco dining, an oversized granite kitchen with a butler’s pantry, and a master suite with a fireplace, private balcony, a bathroom with integrated bath and glass shower, and a huge walk-in closet.

In addition to the $7.2 million sale of his Hidden Hills property last year, Cyrus recently sold a $14.5 million ranch in Nashville and maintains his longtime home in a $3.9 million mansion in Studio City.
